Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation To Stage Greater Accra Inter-Club Amateur Boxing Championship

The Ghana Amateur Boxing Federation will be staging an Inter-Club Championship among all clubs in the Greater Accra Region from Tuesday, 8th to Saturday, 12th March, 2011.

The Championship which is scheduled to take place at the Ohene-Djan Sports Stadium in Accra will be the first of a series of Regional tours planned by the Federation in a quest for talent identification.

The Championship will also serve as a platform for boxers in the region to assess themselves and hone their boxing skills ahead of the National Sports Festival, Federation planned tournaments as well as major international tournaments.

The best club will take away the President’s Cup, which is in honour of the Federation President, Mr. Ray Quarcoo.

There will also be attractive prizes for winners and runners-up of each weight category.
